FerriTech and Local Schools

For about 12 years, FerriTech has been collaborating with local high schools — specifically the ITIS E. Mattei Technical Institute in Urbino and the Vocational School for Maintenance and Technical Support in the Mechanical Industry in Urbania — to organize training internships for students in their 3rd, 4th, and 5th years.

We consider our partnership with schools a key asset for enhancing students’ culture and life skills. The technical and scientific knowledge shared through this collaboration plays a central role, and we aim to align it with the goal of strengthening students’ future employment opportunities.

Working closely with schools allows us to provide knowledge that helps train better-prepared young people in our region — a direct benefit, as these young individuals may become part of our workforce in the future.

Moreover, we believe that this experience is essential for all students in technical and mechanical programs, as it gives them a tangible understanding of what they study in the classroom.

At FerriTech, students carry out a three-week mandatory internship, during which — in full compliance with safety regulations — we aim to introduce them to how our machinery operates and guide them through a careful observation of daily operations.
The goal is to help students understand FerriTech’s corporate philosophy within the mechanical engineering sector.

At the end of the three weeks, some students continue their path with us through extended internships during the summer period. In fact, a large part of our current team joined the company thanks to these training experiences — this is why we firmly believe in the value of this connection.

Engaging with students also helps schools improve their understanding of the real skill demands of businesses, contributing to the development of a training offer based on the actual needs of companies.
